Who we are
Illinois Conservation Police Lodge #146 is proud to be involved in wildlife and fish enforcement. Our officers strive to improve the quality of natural resources of the State of Illinois. Our members work to improve your outdoor recreational experience while providing a safe and lawful environment.
Why we exist
The Conservation Police Lodge was chartered in 1982 by Conservation Police Officers in Illinois with these objectives in mind.
Promote the wise and ethical use of the natural resources of the State of Illinois.
Promote scientific management of those resources while giving consideration to the needs and opinions of the citizens of the state.
Promote legislation that benefits natural resources, hunters, fishermen, and all outdoor recreation pursuits.
Provide scholarships for college students pursuing careers in Natural Resource Protection.
Improve public awareness and support for the Natural Resource Protection field.
Provide a means of interaction between Conservation Police Officers and police officers in other fields and agencies.
Work for the protection and safety of the public while they are enjoying their outdoor pursuits.
Promote professional, community-based police work by Conservation Police Officers.
Educate the citizens of Illinois about the natural resources of the state and the value of the protection provided by our laws and Conservation Police Officers.
Connected at every level
The Conservation Lodge is affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Police. Through the Lodge — and through individual Conservation Police Officers — memberships are held in most conservation organizations at local, state, and national levels.
FOP Lodge #146 is a not-for-profit organization registered with the Illinois Secretary of State. Information on tax status and IRS identification numbers is available upon request.
